DISCUSS - LEARN - DEVELOP STRATEGIES
INCLUSIVE STRATEGIES are an ESSENTIAL part of LOCAL GOVERNANCE in EUROPE.
INDIMAE project provides an open platform to all European citizens to discuss, exchange ideas, learn from good practices and create innovative strategies for diversity management, inclusion and protection of human rights and participatory democracy in Europe.
Via the INDIMAE project involves a wide range of European citizens, civil society organisations, communities, institutions and local authorities are given the opportunity to collaboratively debate and develop together strategies for innovative diversity management and inclusive European towns.
- Using a comparative European framework, the INDIMAE partnership examines the multiple meanings of inclusion and exclusion in fast—changing urban contexts of all partner countries.
- While seeking for innovative strategies for diversity management , the project partners seek together to identify specific areas of contestation, including public spaces and facilities, governmental structures, civil society institutions, cultural organisations, and cyberspace as platforms for inclusion and promotion of participatory democracy and human rights.
- INDIMAE looks critically at the socioeconomic and cultural mechanisms that can encourage inclusive pluralism in the European towns, seeking approaches that view diversity as an asset rather than a threat.
- Exploring old and new public spaces, practices of marginalised urban dwellers, and actions of the state, the INDIMAE Network seeks to develop strategies for formation and reformation of processes of inclusion
