Residential Local Events
The TALKING project held a Joint Staff Training Event in February 2018 a week-long residential staff training for adult migrant educators to multiply the knowledge and skills on transactional analysis to other adult educators, working with migrants.
Between January and June 2018, all project partners delivered pilot trainings with local adult educators on adult learning methods using transactional analysis to support migrant educators in their efforts for migrant inclusion.
The “Training course for teachers” was built on the principles of Transactional Analysis.
TALKING Curriculum has been developed by consortium partner IFREP – 93 and was tested in a multicultural class constituted by teachers and educators from Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Spain and UK.
TALKING Curriculum on Transactional Analysis for managing multicultural classes was focused on teachers and educators needs, according to the outcomes derived through the TALKING focus groups implementation in partners countries.
Each major block of the training curriculum is based on the following modules:
- Module 1: Migration-between dream and reality
- Module 2: Effective communication-the issuer
- Module 3: Effective communication-the recipient
- Module 4: Non-verbal communication
- Module 5: Use of transactional analysis in the training context
- Module 6: problem solving and conflict resolution
- Module 7: Prevention of discomfort and training context: a supervision grid.
The didactic material, produced during the JSTE, has been uploaded on the Web Community Platform, eTALKING.
